Park Rules

While in the Baldy View Dog Park, please adhere to the following rules (UMC 4110.12):

  • Hours of operation: dawn to dusk.
  • No animals other than dogs are permitted.
  • No more than 2 dogs per person are permitted.
  • Aggressive dogs, dogs in heat and dogs that are sick or injured are not permitted.
  • Off-leash dogs must be accompanied by their owners/caretakers at all times.
  • Dogs must be at least 4 months of age, currently licensed with tags and vaccinated for rabies.
  • Barking dogs must be quieted or removed
  • Off-leash dogs must remain inside the fenced area. For your dog's safety do not leave the leash on your dog while in the gated area.
  • Caretakers must clean up after their dogs and put feces/trash in the proper containers.
  • No smoking, alcoholic beverages, food or dog treats are allowed.
  • No strollers, carriages, children's toys, scooters, skateboards, bicycles, or roller blades.
  • Owners are liable for injuries or damage caused by their dogs.
  • Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  • The leash-free area is subject to closure without notice for maintenance.
  • Dog obedience classes and events other than those authorized by the City of Upland are prohibited.

This off-leash exercise area for dogs is a reality due to the donations, volunteers efforts and responsible use by local dog owners.

The park and its use are privileges, not rights.
